The Construction Robots that would fill it were already in the pipeline: frames cooling in the smelters, circuits stacking in the assemblers, copper wire unspooling in neat golden threads. She keyed the intercom. "Line's balanced. Start the assembly in thirty."

A pause. Then the soft whir of the machine engaging, the first tiny robot lifting its chassis off the belt with a faint electric chirp, and the long, satisfying click of it settling into its housing. The line was alive. The planet, for one more hour at least, would build.

The chain begins with two smelting steps: Iron Ore → Iron Plate (Furnace) and Copper Ore → Copper Plate (Furnace). The copper plate then feeds a second Furnace to produce Copper Wire. One Iron Plate plus one Copper Wire enter a Circuit Assembler to yield an Electronic Circuit. From there, two paths converge on the Robot Frame: two Iron Plates and one Electronic Circuit are smelted together in a Furnace. The final step takes one Robot Frame and one additional Electronic Circuit into a Circuit Assembler to produce the Construction Robot. Per single Construction Robot the total raw demand is 4 Iron Plates and 2 Copper Plates (a 2:1 iron-to-copper ore ratio). In machine operations that is 9 Furnace slots and 3 Circuit Assembler slots. Because an Electric Furnace processes at 2/s while a Circuit Assembler manages only 0.5/s, the Circuit Assembler is the chronic bottleneck. A practical starting ratio is roughly 3 Furnaces for every 4 Circuit Assemblers, though players often add extra assemblers as they scale. As the factory grows, the chain scales linearly: double the robot output and you double every upstream line. The real complexity appears when Logistics Robots and Power Loaders join the demand, all drawing from the same Robot Frame and Electronic Circuit pools. At that point the Circuit Assembler cluster becomes the single most critical building in the entire factory, and under-provisioning it will cascade into every downstream logistics and construction operation.
