Assembled in an Assembling Machine from iron plates and copper cable, it represents the player's growing mastery over the alien planet's mineral wealth being refined into functional electronics. Its role is foundational to the factory's logic and processing infrastructure: Red Circuits feed directly into Red Wires for signal routing and into Green Circuits, which in turn become the backbone of Blue Circuits and ultimately Processing Units. The player watches from the catwalk above, coffee long gone cold, the alien sky a bruised purple beyond the factory lights. Somewhere beyond the perimeter, a spitter hisses and retreats into the dark. The machine does not care. The machine never stops. And the Red Circuits keep flowing, one by one, building the brain of a machine that will one day carry the player out of this world forever.

Recipe: 10 Iron Plate + 1 Copper Cable → 1 Red Circuit. Machine: Assembling Machine (any tier). Upstream chain: Iron Ore → (Smelter) → Iron Plate. Copper Ore → (Smelter) → Copper Plate → (Assembling Machine) → Copper Cable. Both smelting lines are independent and can be scaled in parallel. Downstream chain: Red Circuit feeds into Red Wires (1 Red Circuit + 1 Copper Cable → 8 Red Wires) and Green Circuit (2 Red Circuit + 2 Copper Cable → 1 Green Circuit). Green Circuit then feeds Blue Circuit and Processing Unit, which in turn unlock advanced research and rocket parts. Bottleneck: The 10-to-1 iron plate requirement makes iron smelting the typical limiting stage. Copper cable demand is comparatively light (1 per Red Circuit, needing only 8 copper plates), so copper smelters rarely constrain the line unless the factory is also producing massive quantities of Red Wires simultaneously.
