Reader's Guide

The Blue Cable chain has five crafting stages plus two mining operations. Starting from raw resources: Copper Ore is mined and smelted into Copper Plate in a Furnace. Sand is mined and smelted into Silicon in a Furnace, then Silicon is smelted into Glass in a second Furnace. Blue Wire is then produced in a Furnace from 1 Copper Plate + 1 Glass. Finally, Blue Cable is assembled in an Assembling Machine from 1 Copper Plate + 1 Blue Wire. The optimal ratio is 1 Blue Cable per 2 Copper Plates, 1 Glass, and 1 Silicon (i.e. 1 Sand). In practice the Furnace stage—particularly Glass production—is the most common bottleneck, because it is a strict 1:1 conversion with no parallelization benefit, and it competes for furnace slots with Silicon and Copper smelting. The Assembling Machine for Blue Cable is less often the limiter unless the factory is extremely large. As the factory scales, the chain grows linearly: each additional Blue Cable per minute demands one additional Glass per minute, one additional Silicon per minute, one additional Sand per minute, and two additional Copper Plates per minute. Downstream, Blue Cable feeds into Advanced Circuits, Robotic Arms, and all three robot types, so demand multiplies quickly once the player begins mass-producing autonomous units. Plan furnace and assembler capacity around the robot fleet size rather than a single circuit line.
