Stage 1 – Mining: Uranium Ore is extracted from ore nodes using a Mining Drill (or manually). This is the sole input and the most common bottleneck, as uranium ore is a finite, non-renewable resource that must be located and secured early. The ratio is strictly 1:1:1—no by-products, no branching. Stage 3 – Consumption: Nuclear Fuel is inserted into a Nuclear Reactor. The reactor also requires a continuous supply of Coolant (drawn from a water source) to operate. Without coolant, the reactor shuts down regardless of fuel. Optimal ratio and scaling: Because the chain is linear and 1:1, the bottleneck is almost always uranium ore availability. A single Mining Drill can feed a small number of reactors, but large arrays (8+ reactors) may require multiple drills and careful ore-node management. Unlike oil or steel chains, there is no intermediate product to buffer, so inventory management is straightforward: stockpile Nuclear Fuel items in a buffer chest near the reactor array.
