The Item Assembling Machine is the fourth and most advanced tier of crafting machines in Factorio, representing the absolute ceiling of automated production speed in the game. It sits at the top of the assembling-machine progression (Assembling Machine 1 → 2 → 3 → Item Assembling Machine) and is the tool a player ultimately relies on to churn out components, modules, and endgame items at the fastest possible rate. As the factory scales, the ratio of smelters-to-miners, chemical-plant-to-oil-extraction, and circuit-factory-to-plate-supply must all be rebalanced.
