The Incendiary Round is crafted in a Chemistry Lab. Its direct inputs are an Iron Plate and a Plastic, with the Plastic itself requiring an Iron Plate and one unit of Petroleum. This means each Incendiary Round effectively consumes 2 Iron Plates and 1 Petroleum, plus the electricity to run the furnaces and chemistry labs. Upstream chain: Iron Ore is smelted in a Smelting Furnace into Iron Plates. Oil is extracted by a Pumpjack and refined in an Oil Refinery into Petroleum. The Chemistry Lab then combines Iron Plate + Petroleum into Plastic, and finally Iron Plate + Plastic into the Incendiary Round. The typical bottleneck is the Petroleum supply, since oil infrastructure (pumpjacks, storage tanks, refineries) is bulky and requires significant land and power. Early on, a single Oil Refinery may not keep up with demand for both Plastic and direct Petroleum uses. Scaling the chain means adding more pumpjacks and refineries in parallel, and ensuring the Chemistry Lab has enough inserter throughput for both the Plastic recipe and the Incendiary Round recipe.
